
Sarah is a recognised industry leader in the field with over 25 years of experience in insurance fraud. Before joining Keoghs, she led the BLM fraud department nationally for 17 years and then latterly the Casualty Fraud department at Clyde & Co post-merger with BLM. Sarah’s expertise encompasses all aspects of fraud including large scale organised fraud, high-value exaggerated fraud claims, and complex fraud litigation across various product lines.
Sarah is regularly asked by clients and industry bodies to provide high level strategic advice. She was an expert advisor to the HM Treasury Insurance Fraud Taskforce as well as having had a non-executive role on the Government’s Counter Fraud Data Alliance Project. Sarah has led several high-profile fraud initiatives, which have been award winning. She represented tour operators, implementing strategies to tackle the significant rise in fraudulent claims in the travel industry. She also led the landmark private criminal prosecution R v Roberts and Briton. This was the first private criminal prosecution brought against individuals making fraudulent travel sickness claims and was widely reported on many major news channels including Sky News and ITV.
Sarah is responsible for several complex fraud investigations to include high profile actions in the Tort of Deceit and multiple criminal prosecutions. She has appeared on national news championing and raising awareness of insurance fraud activity as well as appearing multiple times on the BBC’s Claimed and Shamed series.
