Claire joined Keoghs in May 2026 as a Partner in our London CAT & Complex Injury team, with over 25 years’ experience handling some of the most serious and complex personal injury claims, including spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, amputations, and fatalities. She has acted for major insurers across road traffic, employers’ liability, and public liability matters for various insurance clients. Claire has also mentored insurance clients in their personal and professional development.
Recognised as a Leading Individual in Legal 500 and a ranked Partner in Chambers & Partners, Claire is widely respected for her tenacity and collaborative approach. One of her recent highlights was the High Court trial victory in Rai v Advantage, April 2026, where the Court found that low conspicuity, A-pillar masking, and drivers attentional focus on oncoming traffic reduced the opportunity to perceive a pedestrian in time. Detailed visibility evidence and expert analysis led to a successful liability defence in a complex brain injury claim brought by a pedestrian. Claire also successfully defended a high-profile claim of more than £6m in the High Court in 2025, which involved allegations of negligence and employers’ liability, when a self-employed gardener sustained life-changing injuries while working at a private property. Other notable cases include acting for the defendant in the High Court cases of Mustard v Flower and MacDonald v Burton.
