Keoghs Supports Groundbreaking Industry Rewilding Initiative

    12/08/2026

Keoghs has joined QBE and organisations from across the insurance claims supply chain in supporting a pioneering rewilding and carbon removal project at Boothby Wildland in Lincolnshire. The initiative, known as the QBE Buyers Club, is believed to be the UK insurance sector's first formal supply chain-led nature restoration consortium and represents a collective commitment to creating long-term environmental impact.

Joining Keoghs are fellow law firms Clyde & Co and DWF, along with Sedgwick, Prism Claims Group, FMG and a national salvage dealer. The initiative has been developed with leading rewilding organisation Nattergal and brokered by Nature Broking.

A Long-Term Commitment to Positive Change

For Keoghs, the long-term nature of the project at Boothby Wildland was a key factor in becoming involved. By supporting a 50-year commitment, we are helping to create lasting carbon storage and environmental benefits that will continue to grow over time, helping to restore habitats, increase biodiversity, improve soil health and land management practices, and support natural water management through enhanced filtration and flood mitigation. These environmental improvements will contribute to creating a healthier and more resilient landscape for local communities and future generations.

    The Power of Partnership

Gillie Fairbrother, Global Responsible Business Officer, commented on why Davies is supporting its legal arm in this unique way: “One of the most distinctive features of the initiative is the collaboration behind it. The project brings together organisations from across the insurance and professional services supply chain that share a common commitment to sustainability and responsible business.

By working collectively, we can achieve a scale of environmental impact that would be difficult to deliver independently. The initiative demonstrates how businesses can come together to address long-term environmental challenges and create wider benefits for society.”

Connie Cobb, Market Director for Specialty Lines, also commented: “ Reaching net zero is an industry challenge, not an individual one, and by working alongside our peers and aligning around shared goals, we can multiply our impact and accelerate meaningful progress. Through collective action, we are supporting the industry-wide transition to a lower-carbon future.”
