Keoghs skydivers overcome nerves to raise thousands for Bolton Hospice

16/10/2015

Seven proud staff from Keoghs have raised over £3,850 for Bolton Hospice by completing a nerve-jangling sponsored skydive.

Initially the group were scheduled to jump on Saturday October 3 but an inopportune and very large grey cloud caused the flight to be called off and the jumpers were forced to head home after a seven hour wait.

However, on Saturday October 10, the skies were clear and the sky dive went ahead with all seven fundraisers - Rachel Kowalyk, Joshua Holden, Helen Johnson, Karima Al Saidi, Michelle Doek, Leo Batty and Jake Mitchell – completing the jump.

Keoghs Associate, Rachel Kowalyk, helped organise the event and was delighted with the amount raised:

“We were all extremely nervous on the way up, with the additional week’s wait creating an extra dose of fear and doubt, but everybody completed the jump in the end and all said it was the best experience of their lives.

Most importantly, we’ve raised a fantastic amount of money for a very good cause and we’d like to thank everybody who has supported us throughout”.
