Keoghs celebrate triple win at LV= Awards

Keoghs have scooped three prizes at this year’s LV= Awards including ‘GI Claims Best Overall Partner’.

The defendant law firm were left toasting their success at last week’s ceremony, also winning ‘Best Fraud Initiative’, whilst ‘Unsung Hero of the Year’ was awarded to Fraud Rings Deputy Director, Ben Leech.

The Best Overall Partner category was based on a variety of factors including exceptional performance, proactive approach and innovation.

Meanwhile the Fraud Initiative prize was awarded for Keoghs’ work in aiding the development of LV=’s claims farming strategy, helping the insurer to become a market leader when dealing with late notified PI claims by abusive claims management companies.

Keoghs partner, Helen McGovern, was delighted with the wins, stating:

Rounding off the trio of awards, Ben Leech won ‘Unsung Hero’ for his work in relation to the claims farming project. The award recognises Ben’s contribution in helping forge a shift in claimant solicitors’ behaviour, sending a clear message that LV= will take every step possible to deter and defeat fraudulent late notified claims.

After receiving the award, Ben said:

“I have had the pleasure of working closely with LV=’s Claim Crime Prevention Team over the last 18 months to maintain the robust pre-litigation stance within litigation and through to trial with enormous success. Just to be nominated for the Unsung Hero award was unexpected, but I am absolutely delighted to have won, and I am hugely grateful to all those who have assisted me over the last year.”
