Claims involving head injuries are frequently protracted and costly. The complex issues involved demand innovative and sensitive handling. Keoghs' Complex Injury Claims team is therefore holding a full-day (and free) seminar, Head Injury: All Points of the Compass, to discuss key issues, with the help of several leading experts:
Consultant Neurologist Professor Christine Collin and Neuropsychologist Dr Andrew Worthington will provide a comprehensive review of rehabilitation issues, particularly focusing on the medico-legal arena. This includes good practice; identifying rehabilitation potential and cost benefit analysis.
Nursing care expert Maggie Sargent will examine the role of a care expert in brain injury cases. Maggie is often instructed on behalf of the claimant, and will give a fresh look at brain injury cases from a claimant perspective.
Bill Braithwaite, QC (Exchange Chambers) will be giving a thought provoking discussion, taking in the approaches of both claimants and defendants on issues such as case management and state funding, as well as providing an insight into the tactics employed by claimants.
Retired Court of Appeal Judge and chair of Trust Mediation, Sir Henry Brooke, will discuss his experience of mediation for catastrophic injury cases.
You will also receive legal updates from the Head of Complex Injury Claims, Andrew Underwood, as well as recent addition to the team, barrister Stephen Maguire.
