Annual Review

To celebrate our achievements in 2007, we have produced our first ever Annual Review.  And with concern for the environment at the forefront of our mind, we decided to produce this as an e-book - a green, distinctive and highly cost effective alternative to printed copies.

“The F Word”

A number of clients have previously suggested that a fraud newsletter would be useful. We listened and have responded to this feedback. The F Word being the result.

We are aiming to produce The F Word 3 times a year. Each issue will including a range of articles, interviews and technical advice and case updates, all focusing on insurance fraud.

The F Word is available on request, but only to members of the professional counter-fraud community.  To obtain a copy of  the latest issue of The F Word email jwootton@keoghs.co.uk

If there is anything you would like to see covered in the publication or have any comments please contact thefword@keoghs.co.uk.

The Works

Employers continually face a raft of new employment laws, some of which can prove very costly. Keeping up with the changes and being aware of what is in the pipeline is important.  That's why we have introduced The Works.  This will be a regular newsletter full of articles, adivce, guidance and updates on the latest issues in employment law.

Fraudulent and Exaggerated Claims in Personal Injury book

Despite insurance fraud spiralling in recent years, little has been written about the legal aspects in relation to civil claims. No book currently available provides technical support for practitioners in this specialist area - until now.

”Fraudulent and Exaggerated Claims in Personal injury” has been written by Keoghs and barrister Tim Kevan of 1 Temple Gardens. Published by XPL Law, it hit the shelves in July 2006.

“Fraudulent and Exaggerated Claims in Personal Injury” is a technical reference guide which we have written to demystify the law in this area. In this book, we:

  • examine the critical issues that arise in fraudulent claims;
  • look at the current legal position; and
  • consider the different arguments that can be used

The book is aimed at everyone involved in the personal injury claims market, both defendant and claimant, including lawyers, barristers, claims managers, handlers and assessors.

Keoghs’ fraud partners Damian Ward and James Heath, and associate Stratos Gatzouris were all involved in writing the book. Partners Sharon Weeks and Andrew Underwood also provided valuable input.

How you can get a copy?

“Fraudulent and Exaggerated Claims in Personal Injury” costs £48. Orders should be placed directly with the publisher, XPL Law, either by telephoning 0870 143 2569 or visiting www.xplpublishing.com. An “e-book” version is also available by license agreement. Further details can be provided by XPL.
