When pain becomes a chronic problem - 22/11/2007
Keoghs "Dealing with Chronic Pain Claims" seminar took place on Thursday 6th September at the Bolton office. This free fully-day seminar was presented by Alistair Graham, Nicola McLoughlin, Andrew Underwood, Andrew Scholar and Harjinder Alagoda from the chronic pain team with the help of 2 leading medical experts, Professor Jayson and Doctor McDowell.
The seminar provided information on key developments in the field and examined tactics for defending claims and dealing with malingering and exaggeration by accident victims.
There was a great turnout from a variety of insurers. Attendees gave the seminar a very favourable review, with comments including "first class," "interesting, useful and well presented" and "very informative and well organised."
Following the seminar Nicola McLoughlin has written an article on this topic which was published in Post Magazine today. Entitled "When pain becomes a chronic problem," the article details how to effectively deal with these claims including how to diagnose chronic pain and how to take a forensic approach.
Following the success of this seminar, we are planning to repeat it in London on 4th March 2008. For more information or to register your interest contact Joanne Wootton on 01204 677330 or jwootton@keoghs.co.uk
