FOIL welcomes new president

Keoghs’ Director of Strategy, Don Clarke, has become the new president of FOIL (the Forum of Insurance Lawyers). 

Don’s presidential year promises to be an eventful one with all the changes currently in the pipeline.

Don says:  “Over the next 12 months the Jackson reforms and banning of referral fees in PI claims look set to dominate.  But there are also many other changes in the offing - the likely extension of the RTA portal, the introduction of alternative business structures for law firms... These are all of huge significance to FOIL members.  My role is to make sure that we are involved in the debate and discussions so that outcomes reflect the best interests of our members and the wider insurance community.”

Don has been a member of FOIL since it was formed in 1992 and he has sat on the executive since 2009.  In addition he is a member of the Civil Justice Council’s Jackson Working Party as well as Keoghs’ own Jackson Working Group.
