Biography

Peter is one of our senior partners with over 20 years experience in the fields of insurance law, property insurance and professional negligence. He is particularly well known for handling complex policy coverage and policyholder fraud claims and is the head of Keoghs First Party Fraud & Policy Disputes team. Peter is a nominated individual for many of our clients, handling large loss property insurance work in these areas. He has considerable experience of property damage liability and subrogated recoveries involving substantial fires and water escapes.

His fraud and coverage portfolio includes serious arsons and staged and exaggerated claims. Peter is renowned for his work in policy indemnity disputes in particular avoidance of policy and breach of policy condition disputes.

Peter is a seasoned advocate of mediation, having undertaken many high value mediations for his clients. He also regularly undertakes training workshops on fraud and policy coverage claims and related areas of property insurance.
