The latest news stories and press releases about Keoghs, our people, our clients and the insurance industry.
Keoghs has cemented its position as the UK’s leading provider of claims-related legal services to the insurance sector by hiring its 1,000th employee.
Shelley Galluccio joined the rapidly growing firm from Sedgwick Phelon & Partners where she spent three years in the personal injury department as a trainee solicitor. The 26-year-old from Warrington, Cheshire has joined the Bolton-based firm’s Fraud Rings team as a fee earner specialising in handling the case files of suspected fraud rings, passed on to Keoghs by insurance company clients.
Ms Galluccio said: “I wanted to work for a firm which would not only provide opportunity for me to grow professionally, but could also offer job security at a time when a lot of smaller firms might not. That was what first drew me to Keoghs. I found the idea of working in the Fraud Rings department fascinating. They are a rapidly growing firm, which looks to get the best out of its employees, and I am looking forward to what will hopefully be a very promising future here.”
Keoghs’ Counter Fraud Services Operations Director, Andy Auchterlounie, said: “We are committed to investing in not only infrastructure to support our growth and ongoing expansion, but also in people, our most important asset. To reach 1000 employees is a fantastic achievement. Our Fraud Rings team is one area in which we have seen significant growth in recent years and we anticipate this continuing for the foreseeable future as we look to meet sustained demand for our market-leading services.”
The appointment of Keoghs’ 1,000th employee not only strengthens its reputation as one of Greater Manchester’s largest employers, but also marks another landmark achievement for the firm this year. Keoghs recently grew its property portfolio to four sites with the acquisition of a new 7,500 sq ft office at Paragon Business Centre adjacent to its headquarters in Bolton to house its fast-growing Casualty Claims team. A team of 70 people handle employers’ and public liability claims on behalf of insurers, local authorities and businesses at the latest office.
And the firm’s Counter-Fraud Services division - the largest and most experienced fraud-focused team in the UK legal sector with more than 250 specialist staff to tackle insurance fraud - has gone from strength-to-strength. Fraud savings generated for clients on cases resolved in 2011 were in excess of £100million.
