The latest news stories and press releases about Keoghs, our people, our clients and the insurance industry.
We are delighted to announce that Keoghs has been declared the winner of the 2011 National Training Award in the North West Large Employer category following an entry based on our Claims Management Services (CMS) Academy. We are now one of 11 entrants across England, Northern Ireland and Wales who will compete for the title of National Training Award Winner of the Year in our category later in the year.
Now in their 25th year, the National Training Awards (NTAs) recognise and celebrate Investors in People accredited organisations that have delivered outstanding organisational benefits by directly linking the training needs of their people to the business needs of their organisation.
During 2009 and 2010, Keoghs' CMS division experienced massive growth, as our clients chose to outsource increasing volumes of ‘pre-proceedings’ and ‘credit hire insurance’ claims handling work to the firm. Towards the end of 2009, we decided to develop a training programme tailored specifically for new recruits into CMS. Building on our formal induction programme we created the CMS Academy. The key objectives were to communicate and embed Keoghs' ethos, policies and processes and to improve operational performance overall. The Academy proved so effective with new recruits that it was then rolled out to all existing staff in CMS.
John Whittle, CEO at Keoghs, comments, "The CMS Academy is a terrific achievement and has made a strong contribution to the sustained and successful growth of our Claims Management Services division. CMS has been a real success story and has played a key role in the continued growth of the firm. The division provides a consistent, cost effective, flexible and high quality service for the handling of significant volumes of lower value and routine insurance claims for our clients.”
He adds, “The CMS Academy has been extremely successful in equipping our people with the right combination of ‘know how’ commercial skills and ‘know what’ technical skills. I can confidently say that they are now the best in their field.”
