Law Firm Again Nominated one of the Top 100 Best Companies in the UK to work for - 09/03/2004
Staff at Keoghs Solicitors are celebrating today as their firm is once again ranked in the Sunday Times List of the 100 Best Companies to Work For in the UK.
This is the second year running that Keoghs has been recognised in this Survey, which considers those companies who put their people first. This year the firm has improved on last year’s position of 49 and has shot up the rankings to 25th place.
The list is published annually and is derived solely from the views of employees and the policies and processes of employers. The producers of The Sunday Times list speak to tens of thousands of employees all over the UK each year to find out which companies truly are the best employers. This year they surveyed 58,000 employees. Companies that put people first lead the pack every time.
Since its launch in 2001, the Top 100 publication has become an industry benchmark for best practice, eagerly anticipated by those taking part in the competition and who seek to promote good working environments. The accolade is a valuable one for the winning companies. The high profile media coverage generated by The Sunday Times list allows companies to market themselves as one of the country’s best employers, therefore attracting and recruiting the best talent available.
Frances Cross, HR Director at Keoghs commented
“Our intention is to make Keoghs the employer of choice in our areas. This award shows that we are making real progress along this road. Part of our people strategy is to continue to identify initiatives that make Keoghs a great place to work, in order to ensure happy and motivated employees who deliver a great service to our clients”.
Representatives of Keoghs attended a gala awards evening last week in London, during which the rankings were announced.
The 100 Best Companies List was published in a stand-alone supplement to the Times on Sunday 7th March. All 100 companies are profiled in the supplement and they are also presented with an award.
