Interested in a training contract with Keoghs?

Keoghs doesn't just want to offer you a training contract.  We aim to retain our trainees and want this to be the first step of a long and successful career with us.

Keoghs are passionate about Learning and Career Development and would like to offer our existing Colleagues opportunities that enable them to reach their personal career goals.

To reward commitment to the company, we have taken the decision to offer training contract opportunities to our existing colleagues only. We encourage people to work for Keoghs for 12 months before applying for a training contract. This ensures you have the opportunity to see what it’s like working with Keoghs and allows us the time to assess your capabilities.

In the last two years we have offered 36 training contracts internally and plan to offer a further round of contracts in September 2013.

What can you expect from the training contract?
We invest in our people to make sure they are trained and remunerated for the high standards of work we expect of them.  We actively encourage our people to seize development opportunities and take responsibility for their own career progression, whilst giving maximum support to make sure it happens.

The role of our trainees is varied.  Whether it is advocacy, drafting, research, reviewing or advising, we aim to provide the opportunities for you to develop the skills required for future practice.  You will undertake a flexible programme in the firm’s main practice areas working with a mentor and supervisor who will ensure you get regular feedback and progress reports as well as formal appraisals throughout the training period.  Our trainees are also encouraged to have their say in weekly meetings with the trainee mentor.

Will I have a social life?
It’s not all work, work, work!  Each office has an active social and charity committee and Keoghs' trainees are encouraged to join their local trainee solicitors group.

The package
We offer a competitive salary (which is in excess of the Law Society minimum) as well as a great range of benefits which includes 25 days holiday, pension contributions, subsidised parking and a range of flexible benefits.

How do I apply?
If you are interested in joining Keoghs please review our current opportunities.
