There have been tremendous changes in the credit hire arena as insurers have exerted more pressure on credit hire operators in a bid to tackle spiralling costs

Keoghs’ credit hire practice has increased 10-fold in response, establishing an enviable reputation for our legal skills and knowledge in this area.  We now have more than 70 staff handling over 10,000 claims per year. 

The majority of credit hire work is ‘routine’ and of low value, but we have the people and experience to deal with the whole spectrum of claims, including a Complex Credit Hire team who handle claims over £25,000.

A unique approach to credit hire
Employing our own tried and tested process, our approach to credit hire is to be proactive, maintain a robust argument and make realistic applications. 

In 2009 we generated savings of almost £20m on credit hire claims.

As well as using traditional negotiation, we are enjoying considerable success in resolving claims through face-to-face and telephone joint settlement meetings involving the credit hire organisation and their solicitors.
