Chronic Pain Claims Controlling the Process - 06/09/2007

Chronic pain affects 1 in 3 households and 1 in 7 people in the UK*.

The issues surrounding Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome can be very complex and cover a variety of medical conditions.  Whether handling or defending chronic pain claims, a wide range of factors will influence your decisions.  Understanding these issues is becoming increasingly important for insurers if these claims are to be resolved in a fair and efficient, yet sensitive, manner.

The Seminar

Keoghs’ Chronic Pain team is presenting a full-day seminar with the help of 2 leading medical experts.  The seminar will provide you with a wealth of information on current issues and recent developments in this field, including:

  • The changing role of medical experts
  • Pain clinics and treatment options
  • Tactics for defending claims
  • Dealing with malingering and exaggeration

You will hear presentations from our Chronic Pain team partners (Alistair Graham, Nicola McLoughlin, Andrew Underwood, Andrew Scholar and Harjinder Alagoda), along with Professor Jayson, Consultant Rheumatologist, and Dr McDowell, Consultant Pain Specialist.
