Corporate Social Responsibility

As a responsible business we understand and act upon our responsibilities to our local communities and the environment in which we operate. As such we have a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme to encourage staff to become involved with charity and community projects. Keoghs supports the programme by providing time off and fund matching.

Key elements of our CSR programme include:

  • Charities
Each Keoghs office has an established Charity Committee which is made up of volunteers from across the business. The Charity Committees arrange a wide variety of activities to support worthy causes, and all staff are encouraged to get involved. Our main objective is to support worthy endeavours in our localities (the Bolton and Coventry areas) and to forge links with our local communities. A number of fund matching schemes are available including time off for volunteers.
  • Environment
Keoghs has taken steps to reduce its environmental impact in many ways. Over the last two years, we have reduced waste output by 17% despite a 25% increase in employees. Furthermore, none of our waste is now sent to landfill. A number of other initiatives have been introduced to reduce carbon emissions including a staff car sharing scheme and energy consumption guidelines.
  • Community
As well as developing talent within the firm, we run a number of initiatives to encourage young talent in our local communities. For example, we operate a university scholarship scheme to help develop stronger links with local schools, and to attract young people to Keoghs.
