Amputee Claims - Controlling the Cost - 15/11/2006
Amputee claims are few in number, but the issues are complex. A carefully planned strategy is essential as the costs of these claims can be high. The options available for rehabilitation of amputees are constantly evolving.
The Seminar
Keoghs’ Large Loss Team is hosting a seminar which focuses on amputee claims. It will address the main issues and will examine recent developments. This includes:
- NHS provision versus private provision
- Maximising the claimant’s function and the impact on the claim
- The Disability Discrimination Act, and other relevant employment law
You will hear presentations from our Large Loss partners (Nicola McLoughlin, Andrew Underwood, Andrew Scholar and Mike Pope), our Head of Employment Law, Kevin McKenna and Dr Jai Kulkarni, Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at the University Hospital of South Manchester and Clinical Director of the Disablement Services Centre.
Agenda
12.00pm Registration and lunch 1.00pm Presentations including coffee break 4.00pm Questions and conclusion, followed by drinks
